Not-So-Green Thumb

Our half-hearted attempt at a garden this year was to plant some tomatoes in a pot on our front porch. Nate's parents were kind enough to lend us the pot, but I think they are probably pretty disappointed in our lack of gardening ability :)

We planted 3 tomato plants (probably too many for the pot), and tried to keep them watered in the hot summer. Here is the fruit (yes, tomatoes are a fruit) of our labors:

Yep, 3 little tomatoes all from the same plant. I'm pretty sure the little picture when we bought the plants showed a very large tomato. Their flavor almost made up for the lack of size - they tasted a lot better than tomatoes from the store. We'll see if we decide it's worth an attempt next year...
