When I was at a friend’s house last week visiting teaching, she said, while Bennett was sitting quietly on my nap, “I bet he never gets into trouble, and doesn’t do anything wrong”. I guess he decided to prove her wrong (in case you can’t tell, those are oats. From a brand new box I opened 2 days ago).
By the time I found him (about 30 seconds after I had last looked to see what he was doing), he had made enough of a mess that I figured I might as well let him play in it and explore for a little while. He seemed to be enjoying himself.

haha! Awesome! You are totally right... it's probably not worth the fuss of getting upset when you can just let them play and capture some epic images at the same time. (besides, when Ella gets into stuff I generally assume that it's MY fault for not putting it away properly- so I should be mad at myself).
And no, he does not look like a boy who gets into trouble on a regular basis. Face of an angel, that one.
I feel your pain. Adam did the exact same thing with my oatmeal. (Although adam kept trying to eat the dry oats.) The price of curious children is lots of work cleaning up.
