fortunately, I’m not referring to our hopes and dreams. A couple weeks ago, the landscapers were using a weed whacker in our backyard and Bennett always likes to watch them, so he went over by the back door. I heard a loud crack, and Bennett screamed and came running over to me. Apparently the weed whacker had flipped up a rock that hit the glass in the back door and shattered it. I was pretty worried until I called Nate and he reminded me that it was a double-paned window and I realized the shattered glass was only on the outside. I could hear it crackling and forming smaller and smaller pieces for about 20 minutes, then it just stayed in place for about a week. It looked pretty cool, almost like frosted glass, until it started falling down. Now it’s just a pain because I have to keep going out to sweep up the glass that falls. Hopefully they get it fixed soon – until then, here are a few pictures:

hey, that looks a lot like an old door of ours! except ours was caused by connor throwing a rock and not the weed-eater! it is a pain to keep vacuuming up the glass. good luck!
