Four Months

I can’t believe little Ryan is already 4 months old! Life has been a little crazy lately so I feel like I     haven’t been able to spend as much time as I would like just enjoying him – I need to be better about that. But anyway – Ryan is a pretty easygoing, mellow baby and makes me smile with his little laughs and excited squeals. A few highlights of what he’s been up to lately:

* Likes toys more and more. He’ll reach for them and can grab on after a couple of tries.

* Found his feet and is often curled up holding onto them

* Rolls both ways – stomach to back and back to stomach. He gets pretty upset when he ends up on his tummy in his crib because he usually can’t figure out how to turn back over.

* He knows who Bennett is, and almost always smiles when Bennett plays with him, or when he can see what Bennett’s doing

* Likes to suck on his hands and fingers

* and my favorite – laughs pretty often, especially when you tickle him. He usually puts his hands in his mouth when he’s laughing too.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t like to just sit cuddly on my lap anymore – he likes to be standing and jumping or stomping his feet, and wiggles a lot! At his Dr. appointment, he weighed 13 lbs 11 oz (17th percentile) and is 25.5” long (I think 60 something percentile…too lazy to get up and find the paper :) – which is roughly the same size as Bennett was at his age, although he does weigh a little bit less. It is so fun to see more of his personality come out and to see him interact more. Here are a few recent pictures of him.
