This weekend, we had a little bit of a role reversal. Work has finally slowed down for me, and Nate had to work in a model home somewhat late Friday and all day Saturday. I was working down in Orem Friday, so I stopped by to hang out with Jake and Stacey and Kallie until Nate got home. It was business as usual though when I got home and he was already asleep :)
On Saturday, I tried to make the most of my day home alone by being productive, including 4 loads of laundry, cleaning the kitchen & living room, going for a run (ok, it was really half running and half walking), getting my oil changed, buying groceries, picking up a mother's day present, and...it felt like a lot more than that, but I guess that's all. It was a productive day though.
Saturday night, we went up to Nate's parents' house for a Mother's Day barbeque since Nate's mom was leaving Sunday to go out of town. We had great food as always - barbequed chicken and potatoes in the dutch oven, a couscous salad, fruit, and crepes with strawberries for dessert - yum!! Happy Mother's Day!
Sunday was a pretty relaxing day. We were called as substitute Primary teachers in our ward, so we teach whatever class needs us each week. It actually keeps us pretty busy - so far we've only had one Sunday where we weren't asked to teach. Our class this week was really good - but it's always just a little hectic and a relief when it's done. We spent the rest of the day just relaxing - a long nap and a long walk - which are two of my favorite Sunday activities :)
I decided Sunday night that I need to invest in some earplugs. Fortunately, Nate doesn't snore - the real reason is to block out the wind. Apparently we live in near tornado territory and in the few months we've lived here, the wind has woken me up several times in the middle of the night - not just whooshing, but howling, and propelling rain or snow horizontally towards our house (and our bedroom window). At church on Sunday, they gave all the women a little potted flower that I put on our back porch when I got home. Sadly, the little flower became a victim of the storm. We found the flower and its dirt down in the window well, but the little plastic pot was carried off to a far off land (i.e. I can't see it in our back yard or any of our neighbors'). Hopefully the warmer weather will decrease the wind storms.

Hopefully your house doesn't get blown away too. :-)
