After church on Sunday, we went over to Lynn Canyon Park for a walk through the woods. There’s yet another suspension bridge there – not as cool as the Capilano one, but still really pretty and unique. We walked across the bridge, up to a big pool in the river, and then down to a waterfall. It’s amazing that there is this lush forest so close to downtown Vancouver.
the suspension bridge, and the view from it
left: the 30-ft pool we walked to. The water was SO clear!. Middle: the dirt had eroded away and you could see the roots of this tree. Right: Kind of hard to tell, but there were a lot of these trees where little trees were growing out of stumps of bigger trees.
the waterfall we walked to (you can’t see it very well. It’s the white part…). And a no-parking sign – when we first got to Vancouver, it took us a little bit to figure out what they meant.
a little blurry, but at least we’re all looking :)
After Lynn Canyon Park, we drove to another little park to eat our picnic lunch. There was a big reservoir and dam – it was so pretty!
looking down from the dam – it was pretty crazy – massive amounts of water just going straight down, then at the bottom, another big drop-off into the river below. On the right: looking downriver from the dam
And finally…our re-entry into the US:

Wow really cool looking place. Need to make it up there sometime soon.
So excited to have found your blog! You take amazing photos. I'm hoping we can squeeze in a trip to Vancouver before we go back to school!
